About Our Client

Our client is a leading general contractor in the ICI industry, specializing in sectors such as Municipalities, Universities, Schools, and Hospitals. They provide general contracting services, construction management services, and design build services throughout Ontario. For this project, they are seeking an experienced Assistant Site Superintendent for an institutional project in Guelph.

Job Description

- Provide on-site management, administrative, and technical direction for construction projects

- Ensure the project is built in accordance with design, budget, and schedule, and enforce company and project policies

- Oversee all on-site construction activities and monitor work performance and efficiency of employees and subcontractors to ensure project plans are followed

- Attend required construction meetings with owners, consultants, and sub trades

- Monitor project construction schedule

- Ensure compliance with project construction schedule and budgets, and assume responsibility for the commissioning of the project on behalf of the client

- Implement the client's Safety Program to create a safe work environment throughout the job site, and adhere to safety and record keeping requirements

- Advise senior management of potential problems and assist in resolutions

Requirements

- Highly experienced Assistant Site Superintendent with a proven track record of assisting in completing new buildings from start to finish

- Experience as a Site Superintendent on new schools, new hospitals, or other institutional projects in Ontario

- 3-5 years of experience on ICI projects

- Proven leadership skills and ability to evaluate trade performance

- Foresight to predict problems before they develop

- Ability to assume responsibility, interface, and clearly communicate with others

- Enthusiasm for challenge and new initiatives

What's on Offer

- $70,000 to $90,000 Base Salary
