About this role

We are seeking a skilled Incentives Planning Specialist to join our team at VOLKSWAGEN Group. This is a key position that will play a vital role in designing and implementing sales incentives for new Volkswagen vehicles.

Main Responsibilities

  • Recommend direction for new vehicle sales programs to VW Management and Finance Controlling based on analysis of market conditions, competitive positions, and past program effectiveness.
  • Maintain new vehicles sales incentive budget to ensure authorized limits are maintained.
  • Identify opportunities and risks for sales and incentives through detailed analysis and understanding of market conditions, inventory positions, and cost requirements.
  • Develop detailed incentive scenarios to capitalize on opportunities with close cooperation with Product Planning and understanding of market and price/payment indices.
  • Support business case and ad hoc analysis as it relates to Sales Incentives.
  • Prepare monthly forecasts by model and sales channel.
  • Prepare look back analysis on specific programs.
  • Compile, distribute, and maintain all competitive program information for future analysis.
  • Develop and continually enhance efficiency of reporting, presentation, and reporting templates.
  • Provide all required program information to Volkswagen Finance for timely publication of VW Sales bulletins.
  • Liaise with Marketing to ensure proper functionality and accuracy of the VW.ca website vehicle configurator, payment estimator, and Special Offers pages.
  • Maintain New Vehicle Incentive Spend Forecast by updating forecast file with necessary billing rates, program specials rates, and/or cash measures.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance, or similar field.
  • 5+ years' automotive experience, including retail experience.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and presentation skills to negotiate with and influence key stakeholders.
  • Comfort looking at financials, assumptions, and scenarios at high-level and granular levels.
  • Confidence to present to and answer objections from senior management.
  • Budget and forecast management skills.
  • Self-motivated with drive to succeed.
  • Proficient computer skills.
  • Flexibility to travel as required (10-15%) and adapt to changing business and customer needs.
