The Opportunity – Head, Policy, Strategy & Partnerships

At Building Ontario Fund, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced professional to lead our policy and partnerships function. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of developing and implementing successful policy strategies, as well as building and maintaining strong relationships with key stakeholders.

The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the development and implementation of our policy and partnerships function, including strategies, plans, methods, tools, and processes to meet the overall strategic plans and priorities of the function.

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement policy strategies that align with the overall strategic plans and priorities of the organization
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including the Ontario Public Service and Broader Public Sector
  • Oversee the development and implementation of partnership engagement strategies and collaboration approaches
  • Manage financial and material resources and ensure consistency in requirements and approval processes for financial, human resources, information technology, operational and business planning functions

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Public Administration, Business Management, Business Administration, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience in government policy making, strategic planning in a complex environment, and stakeholder management
  • Experience in a start-up environment is an asset
