Job Title: Director Contract Management and Finance

At Sun Life Financial, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director to join our Asset Management team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for leading the management of critical processes, including derivative collateral, pledging compliance, credit derivative usage, repo/reverse repo/securities lending program usage, and global cash management.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Spearhead the management of critical processes, ensuring seamless collaboration with cross-functional teams and flawless execution.
  • Be a trusted advisor, providing unparalleled investment expertise and visionary strategic guidance to assist in investment strategy reviews across Sun Life's business groups.
  • Coordinate discussions and ensure seamless alignment on centralized surplus investment strategies, driving unparalleled consistency in decision-making and actions across Sun Life's legal entities.
  • Lead the quarterly process for reporting SLC investment performance to the Governance, Investment and Sustainability Committee (GISC), and lead the annual business and strategic planning activities related to asset supply.
Requirements:
  • 7+ years of experience in insurance investment strategy or a related field, with a deep and comprehensive understanding of modern portfolio theory, asset pricing, and risk management.
  • Exceptional communication skills, with the ability to explain complex topics to both technical and non-technical audiences in a clear, compelling, and impactful manner.
  • Extensive knowledge of broad asset classes and a working knowledge of Sun Life's liability profiles.
  • Proficiency in utilizing financial tools and software, such as Bloomberg, BlackRock Aladdin, or Morningstar Direct.
