Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Claims Adjuster, Examiner to join our team at CAA Club Group. As a key member of our claims department, you will be responsible for settling and investigating claims, determining coverage, and negotiating settlements.

Key Responsibilities

  • Settle and investigate claims for various types of insurance, including habitation, automobile, motorcycle, and commercial claims
  • Determine coverage and assess claims to ensure fair and timely settlements
  • Conduct investigations, gather statements, and establish losses to proceed with settlements and negotiations
  • Determine subrogation potential and guide external vendors for effective investigation and control of claims
  • Prepare correspondence and file reports, and process payments or denials in accordance with established authority
  • Maintain timely and accurate claim reserves on files and actively manage claims audit programs

Requirements

  • College certificate and Personal-lines Damage Insurance and Commercial-line Damage Insurance Claims Adjuster AMF permit
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in claims adjusting and examination
  • CIP or FCIP designation or working towards is an asset
  • Bilingual (French and English) with strong business writing skills and excellent interpersonal, analytical, organizational, decision-making, problem-solving, and presentation skills
  • Ability to multi-task in a claim department with evolving duties and responsibilities
