Position Overview

The Financial Manager for Property Portfolio is tasked with overseeing the financial operations of a diverse range of commercial real estate assets. This role encompasses a variety of responsibilities, including but not limited to:

  • Generating monthly and quarterly financial reports, management documentation, and supporting work papers for regulatory submissions and audits.
  • Aiding in the formulation of operational and fiscal budgets.
  • Evaluating accounting records to ensure the precision of financial reporting.
  • Addressing discrepancies in accounts.
  • Managing ledgers and executing journal entries.
  • Supporting the annual tenant recovery process.
  • Fostering strong collaborative relationships with field staff and other corporate divisions.
  • Organizing monthly property management discussions and offering accounting guidance as necessary.
  • Undertaking additional tasks and special projects as required.

Candidate Profile

The ideal candidate will possess two to five years of relevant experience in a professional setting, complemented by a post-secondary degree in Accounting. Recent graduates are also encouraged to submit their applications. Candidates should exhibit outstanding analytical and problem-solving abilities, alongside the capacity to manage a multifaceted workload and prioritize effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word is essential, while familiarity with real estate accounting software such as CTI or Yardi is advantageous.
