Job Summary:
Crombie is seeking a highly skilled Property Accountant to join our team. As a Property Accountant, you will be responsible for providing financial management on a portfolio of commercial real estate properties.
Key Responsibilities:- Prepare monthly and quarterly financial statements, management reports, and working papers to support regulatory filings and annual audit.
- Assist in preparing operating and fiscal budgets.
- Review accounting records to ensure accuracy of reported financial results.
- Resolve account discrepancies and maintain ledgers.
- Prepare and post journal entries.
- Assist in preparing annual tenant recoveries.
- Maintain excellent working relationships with operational field staff and other corporate departments.
- Coordinate monthly property management meetings and provide accounting advice as required.
We are looking for a candidate with two to five years of related experience in a professional environment, a post-secondary degree in Accounting, and exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills. Experience with real estate accounting software (CTI or Yardi) is an asset. The ideal candidate will be a self-starter who can develop and build relationships internally and externally, and maintain confidential information.
Candidates must demonstrate professionalism and superior communication skills, both verbally and written. An interest and commitment to Environmental, Social, and Corporate Governance responsibilities is a must.
