Job Summary

Tatham Engineering Limited is seeking a highly skilled Senior Engineering Project Manager to join our team. As a key member of our Structural – Buildings group, you will be responsible for overseeing the production of structural drawings, developing structural repair details and specifications, and preparing construction tender and contract documents.

Key Responsibilities
  • Preparing structural calculations and designing new structures for a variety of project sizes
  • Overseeing the production of structural drawings and developing structural repair details and specifications
  • Site visits during construction, preparing reports, detailing observations and recommendations
  • Preparing technical and fee proposals, liaison with clients, architects, building officials, municipal and provincial approval agencies
  • Mentoring junior staff and quality control of work by junior staff
  • Providing technical direction and assisting the Group Leader and Branch Manager with business development
Requirements
  • P.Eng. in the Province of Ontario
  • Minimum of 5 years of structural engineering experience
  • Strong working knowledge of the Ontario Building Code (Part 4 and Part 9)
  • Proficiency in the design of municipal, institutional, commercial, industrial and residential structures using wood, timber, steel, concrete and masonry
  • Experience working on a variety of large and small project sizes
  • Strong computer skills with knowledge of structural analysis and design software
  • Excellent communication, organizational and time management skills
  • Experience with business development is an asset
  • Ability to manage multiple projects and work under minimal supervision
  • Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
