Job Title: Post Office Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and customer-focused individual to join our team as a Post Office Assistant. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional service to our customers, ensuring their needs are met with a smile.

Job Responsibilities:

  • Sell postal products and services to businesses and individuals
  • Sort, distribute, and process mail with accuracy and efficiency
  • Provide customers with information and forms, ensuring they have the resources they need
  • Address delivery and service difficulties, resolving issues promptly and professionally

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent, with experience in business administration an asset
  • Training and/or experience interacting with the public in a retail and/or service environment, including sales and cash transactions
  • Understanding of general or post office accounting systems
  • Physical ability to lift mail containers of up to 50 lb, push or pull boxes, sort mail, and stand for extended periods
  • Flexibility to work temporary, on-call shifts

Other Information:

This job posting will be used to fill multiple Post Office Assistant - Term positions in the Lac-des-Aigles region. Ideal candidates should reside in the community, with applicants within a 50 km radius of the Post Office considered as needed. As part of the selection process, selected candidates will undergo a security screening.

Safety Sensitive Position:

This position may be considered a Safety Sensitive position, requiring additional requirements under Canada Post's Substance Use Policy.
