Job Title: Educational Assistant

We are seeking a highly motivated and organized Educational Assistant to join our team at the Greater Victoria School District. As an Educational Assistant, you will play a vital role in supporting students with diverse needs, promoting inclusive learning environments, and contributing to the overall success of our students.

About the Role:
  • Provide academic and social support to students with diverse needs, including those with special needs, English language learners, and students who require additional academic support.
  • Assist teachers with lesson planning, implementation, and assessment, as well as with classroom management and organization.
  • Support students with daily living skills, such as personal care, meal preparation, and transportation.
  • Collaborate with teachers, other Educational Assistants, and support staff to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and behavior intervention plans (BIPs).
  • Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff to ensure a positive and supportive learning environment.
