Key Responsibilities- Provide exceptional customer service to end users of the Board by performing remote trouble shooting support for all locations.
- Plan, install, configure and maintain the LAN for the Board as well as technology equipment including laptops, desktops, projectors, audio visual devices, PA and phone systems, projectors and cameras.
- Provide remote and onsite technical assistance and support related to computer systems, hardware, or software.
- Respond to queries, run diagnostic programs, isolate problems and determine and implement solutions.
- Two-year post-secondary Computer Networking or Technical Support related diploma and/or equivalent work related experience.
- Customer Service Certification or equivalent training.
- Current Windows Desktop Certification.
- 3-4 years' of related experience in an IT environment.
- Relevant vendor training for authorized service (certification).
- Previous experience with network hardware and software.
- Proven ability to acquire and implement new technologies.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Superior conflict resolution, trouble shooting and time management skills.
- Ability to think and react quickly.
- Proven ability to produce clean and concise documentation.
- Must possess a valid driver's license and have access to a vehicle in order to travel and provide service throughout the district.
