Job Summary:

We are seeking a skilled Maintenance and Repair Specialist to join our team at Goodyear Napanee. As a key member of our maintenance team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our manufacturing process by performing routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairing equipment in your assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform routine maintenance tasks to prevent equipment downtime and ensure optimal operating conditions
  • Troubleshoot and repair complex equipment issues using technical knowledge and problem-solving skills
  • Install, troubleshoot, and repair machines and drive power distribution systems, instrumentation, hydraulic systems, and pneumatic systems
  • Interpret blueprints, sketches, maintenance manuals, and manufacturing specifications to complete tasks
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve equipment-related issues and improve overall process efficiency

Requirements:

  • Certificate or diploma in a technical field such as electrical techniques, mechanical techniques, fabrication, automotive, or instrumentation
  • Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent
  • At least 18 years of age and legally authorized to work in Canada
  • Ability to work any shift, including weekends, holidays, and overtime
  • Basic computer skills and experience with computerized work order systems

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Current Certificate of Qualification recognized by Skilled Trades Ontario and related experience in one of the following: industrial electrician, mechanical/electronic/electrical technology, instrumentation technology, industrial maintenance mechanic (millwright), or motor vehicle mechanic
  • Experience adhering to industry-specific safety standards and regulations
