Job Summary:
The Regina Exhibition Association Limited is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Arena Operations Supervisor to join our team. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our arena facilities, including the maintenance and upkeep of our playing surfaces.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise and assist arena operators in the daily operation of the arena facilities.
- Coordinate and delegate tasks to ensure the efficient operation of the department.
- Inspect work to ensure it meets specifications and standards.
- Ensure equipment and facilities are properly maintained and secured.
- Conduct thorough and proper surface installation and maintenance through proper inspections and safe utilization of equipment.
- Set up and take down event setups as per the service order.
- Assist in general repairs and maintenance of sports surfaces, facilities, and equipment.
- Assist other trades and engineers.
- Assist management in planning and preparing employee work schedules.
- Investigate and solve customer complaints and concerns with the assistance and support of management.
Requirements:
- Completion of grade 12 or equivalent.
- Fireman's certification is an asset.
- Demonstrated experience in safe operation and maintenance of equipment such as a Zamboni, turf equipment, forklift, scissor lift, or loader.
- Knowledge and experience in ice making and sport surface maintenance.
- Ability to take direction and adapt in a fast-paced work environment.
- Ability to lift, push, and pull over 50 lbs., walk long distances, and remain on your feet for up to 8 hours per day.
- Must possess and maintain a valid Class 5 driver's license.
- Ability to work independently and as a team.
- Strong decision-making and communication skills.
- May work odd or long hours at a time to complete operational requirements, projects, or to participate in or coordinate evening and off-hour activities.
