Operations Supervisor

As an Operations Supervisor, you will be responsible for leading all aspects of the operations on the shift. This involves managing health and safety, operational performance, customer relations, continuous improvement, and people development.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Schedule labour requirements to ensure production goals are met within the budgeted cost structure.
  • Complete shift briefings to ensure effective communication of relevant information to all employees.
  • Assign and follow up with operators and warehouse staff on task completion times.
  • Ensure order sequences are picked based on priority shipments and customers.
  • Hold team members accountable for proper picking and packing procedures and quality standards.
  • Monitor and report daily/weekly departmental performance through KPI tracking and data collection.
  • Approve labour hours using agile in adherence with company policies and maintain accurate record keeping.
  • Provide daily feedback to employees through coaching and administer performance appraisals.
  • Maintain close interaction with customers to develop strong relationships and assess service requirements.
  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment.
  • Fulfill the duties of a supervisor under the Occupational Health and Safety Act.

Education:

Preferably a College Diploma in Business Management with a focus in Logistics Management and/or the equivalent in experience.
