Job Title: Plastics Machine Operator

We are seeking a skilled Plastics Machine Operator to join our team at Top Quality Plastics Ltd. in a permanent position.

Job Summary:

The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various plastics manufacturing equipment, including mixing machines, extruders, and moulding machines. They will also be involved in quality control, inventory management, and production line coordination.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Weigh and mix resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae.
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced.
  • Operate mixing machines to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity.
  • Unload mixture into containers or conveyors for further processing.
  • Pack items for shipping and distribution.
  • Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die.
  • Set up and operate moulding machines to mould plastic products.
  • Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line changes.
  • Organize and maintain inventory.
  • Trim and sand plastic or fiberglass parts.
Work Environment:

The successful candidate will work in a fast-paced environment with a combination of sitting, standing, and walking. They will be required to stand for extended periods and work in a physically demanding environment.
