As part of their exponential growth, we seek a Construction Director to lead all aspects of the Construction Department. This pivotal role will oversee both in-house construction projects as a developer and third-party projects delivered by a general contractor. The portfolio includes a robust backlog exceeding $900 million, with individual project values ranging from $1–2 million to over $250 million.
The Construction Director will report directly to the President and be a key member of our senior leadership team. They will drive alignment across functional and project teams, processes, and systems to ensure the highest standards of safety, quality, and customer service excellence.
Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee all aspects of the Construction Department, including project management, budgeting, scheduling, and regulatory compliance.
- Lead cross-functional teams to deliver complex projects on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
- Maintain strong relationships with employees, trades, and industry partners to ensure effective communication and collaboration.
- Develop and implement strategies to improve project outcomes, reduce costs, and enhance customer satisfaction.
Requirements:
- Minimum 15 years of experience in project management within the real estate development sector, preferably in industrial, commercial, and industrial (ICI) real estate, residential, and/or high-rise.
- Strong understanding of construction processes, budgeting, scheduling, and regulatory requirements.
- Proven track record of successfully managing complex projects from conception to completion.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building relationships.
- Proficiency in project management software and tools.
Estimated Salary Range: $150,000 - $200,000 per year, depending on experience.
