We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Truck Dispatcher to join our team at Dhaliwal Brothers Transport Ltd.
Job Summary:The Truck Dispatcher will be responsible for coordinating the activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment to ensure timely and efficient transportation of goods. The ideal candidate will have excellent communication skills, be able to work in a fast-paced environment, and have a strong attention to detail.
Key Responsibilities:- Monitor personnel workloads and locations to optimize dispatching decisions
- Advise vehicle operators of traffic and other problems to ensure safe and efficient transportation
- Dispatch personnel according to schedules and work orders to meet customer demands
- Keep track of shipments to ensure timely delivery and minimize delays
- Knowledge of highway trucking and associated rules and regulations to ensure compliance
- Maintain vehicle operator work records to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
- Process and transmit information and instructions to coordinate the activities of vehicle operators and crews using dispatching equipment
- Record mileage, fuel use, repairs, and other expenses to ensure accurate accounting and reporting
- Respond to urgent calls from individuals who require assistance in life-threatening situations
- Schedule assignments and coordinate activities of vehicle operators, crews, and equipment to meet customer demands
- Criminal record check to ensure a safe working environment
- Attention to detail to ensure accurate tracking and reporting
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities
- Excellent communication skills to coordinate with vehicle operators, crews, and customers
- Flexibility to adapt to changing circumstances and priorities
- Organized and reliable to ensure timely and efficient transportation
- Team player to work collaboratively with colleagues to achieve common goals
