About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Spare Part Sales Engineer to join our team at Samco Machinery Ltd. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for providing administrative and technical support to our Spare Part Sales Manager.

Key Responsibilities

  • Identify and develop new business opportunities for spare parts sales, maintaining and expanding relationships with existing clients.
  • Respond to customer inquiries, provide quotations, and follow-up on sales leads.
  • Provide technical advice and support to customers regarding spare parts.
  • Negotiate and close sales deals to achieve sales targets.
  • Follow-up on inquiries from customers regarding the status of their orders.
  • Process customer orders to ensure accurate and timely delivery of parts, coordinating with the logistics team to manage inventory and shipment of spare parts.
  • Act in accordance with engineering when preparing quotes, and create a database for dealing with returns, problems, and issues with orders.
  • Manage and track spare parts processes, printing off required drawings for preparing quotes and folders for spare part orders.
  • Monitor and track order status, communicating updates to customers.
  • Prepare and present sales reports, forecasts, and market analysis to management, maintaining accurate records of sales activities and customer interactions in the CRM system.

Requirements

  • Minimum of three to five years experience in technical sales, preferably in the machinery or manufacturing industry.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering, or a related field is an asset.
  • Ability to read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings is a must.
  • Proficiency using CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and written communication skills to convey and receive technical information.
  • Knowledge of manufacturing processes such as CNC machinery and assembly, and experience working within an ERP system is a plus.
