Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Advanced Manufacturing Engineer to join our team at Plasman. As a key member of our manufacturing team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing new assembly strategies to ensure cost-effectiveness, efficiency, and quality.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and implement new assembly strategies, including estimating, operations, engineering, and purchasing.
  • Lead the process of assembly strategy development, machine design, and build, ensuring effective communication with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Develop and manage budgets for CAPEX requirements, ensuring timely and cost-effective implementation of new equipment.
  • Participate in commissioning, sign-off, and implementation of equipment for secondary operations, ensuring compliance with plant requirements.
  • Support the development of manufacturing strategy plans, including automation standards and review with cross-functional teams.
  • Identify benchmark conditions for current and competing parts, applying them to new products in early development.
Requirements
  • Recognized Engineering Technical diploma in a related area, with a preference for candidates with a university degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering.
  • 7+ years of experience in the automotive engineering field, with expertise in integrated manufacturing and design.
  • Excellent working knowledge of plastics joining methods, automotive exterior plastics, and integrated manufacturing technology.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both written and verbal, and to work independently with minimal supervision.
