Hospital Director of Operations

We are seeking a dynamic and experienced leader to join our team as a Hospital Director of Operations at Maritime Veterinary Emergency and Specialty Centre in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
About the RoleThe ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in operations management, with a strong background in financial decision-making, leadership, and team development. They will be responsible for overseeing all operations and business activities, leading a team of department managers, and partnering closely with the Medical Director to ensure the highest quality patient care and client service.
Key Responsibilities- Directly oversee all operations and business activities, including financial management, human resources, and facilities management.
- Lead a team of department managers to achieve business objectives and improve operational efficiency.
- Partner closely with the Medical Director to ensure the highest quality patient care and client service.
- Develop and implement strategic plans to drive growth, improve patient satisfaction, and enhance the overall hospital experience.
- Collaborate with the leadership team to identify and address operational challenges and opportunities for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and maintain a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- 5+ years of progressive operational management experience, with a record of success in a similar role.
- MBA or equivalent experience preferred.
- Larger scale healthcare experience, preferably in veterinary medicine.
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team.
- Proficient in Microsoft applications, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
