Overview

KPMG in Canada is seeking a highly skilled Senior Manager to join our Integration Separation team in Deal Advisory. As a Senior Manager, you will play a leading role in helping companies identify and deliver value from mergers and acquisitions. You will work closely with management and stakeholders to assess the impacts of a transaction and develop detailed implementation plans to ensure the strategic reason of the acquisition or divestment is delivered.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Coordinating and supporting clients in delivering value from their transactions by playing a leading role on engagement teams.
  2. Providing function-specific advice on key separation and integration challenges.
  3. Identifying and quantifying the operational impact from merging and carving-out businesses.
  4. Interacting and communicating effectively with senior client executives.
  5. Pro-actively conducting financial and non-financial due diligence to facilitate client during integration or separation processes.
  6. Partnering with internal group members to create business development initiatives, proposals, project deliverables, and set realistic timelines.
  7. Mentoring consultants and senior consultants to deliver a high quality of insight and service to our clients.

Requirements

The successful candidate will have at least 6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions in a consulting, corporate, or private equity environment. Prior experience in professional services will be viewed favorably. The candidate must have an MBA, CPA, CFA, or equivalent qualification, as well as exceptional interpersonal skills, excellent written and oral communication skills, and proficiency in presenting key information. The candidate must also be able to lead teams in dynamic, time-sensitive environments and have thorough business acumen, including financial literacy. Additionally, the candidate must have a high degree of personal and professional integrity, be willing to travel nationally and internationally as required, and have a self-starter mentality with the ability to work well under pressure.
