Job Overview
The Medication Care Manager is responsible for providing high-quality care and services by administering medication and treatments in a safe and organized manner. This role requires strong communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively with residents, families, and healthcare professionals.
Responsibilities and Qualifications
Responsibilities:
- Administer medications and treatments to residents in accordance with their individualized care plans.
- Document medication administration and resident care in a timely and accurate manner.
- Collaborate with the Resident Care Director and Wellness Nurse to ensure medication updates and resident care needs are met.
- Participate in the development and implementation of Individualized Service Plans (ISPs) and Individualized Care Plans (ICPs).
- Ensure compliance with Sunrise Senior Living policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; certifications may be required in certain states or provinces.
- Previous experience working with seniors preferred.
- Ability to make choices and decisions in the best interest of residents.
- Ability to remain calm and composed in difficult situations.
- Ability to handle multiple priorities and tasks.
Training and Contributing to Team Success:
- Participate in regular training and education programs to maintain certification and stay up-to-date on industry developments.
- Contribute to the overall engagement and success of the team by participating in team meetings, training sessions, and other activities.
