Job Description:
  • Key Responsibilities:
  • Train workers in duties and policies, ensuring they understand their roles and responsibilities.
  • Prepare and submit reports on a regular basis, highlighting key performance indicators and areas for improvement.
  • Ensure smooth operation of equipment, maintaining high levels of productivity and efficiency.
  • Resolve work problems, provide technical advice, and recommend measures to improve productivity and product quality.
  • Ensure accuracy of financial transactions, identifying and correcting any errors or discrepancies.
  • Co-ordinate, assign, and review work, setting clear goals and objectives for team members.
  • Requisition or order materials, equipment, and supplies as needed, ensuring timely delivery.
  • Arrange for maintenance and repair work, minimizing downtime and ensuring business continuity.
  • Co-ordinate activities with other work units or departments, fostering strong relationships and communication.
  • Establish work schedules and procedures, prioritizing tasks and allocating resources effectively.
Supervision:

The Accounting Supervisor will oversee 1-2 people, providing guidance, support, and training to ensure they have the skills and knowledge required to perform their duties effectively.

Personal Suitability:
  • Familiarity with accounting software and systems.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills, able to build relationships with colleagues and clients.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Knowledge of tax laws and regulations, particularly in the context of small businesses.
