Role Overview

Vaco seeks a seasoned Accounts Receivable Manager to lead our Order-to-Cash operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient execution of collections, AR, and billing processes.

This is a dynamic leadership role that requires strong relationship-building skills, exceptional communication abilities, and a passion for driving results through process improvement.

About the Role

As an experienced Accounts Receivable Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing and supporting a team of professionals, fostering a collaborative environment, and building strong relationships with merchants, clients, and internal teams.

You will develop and implement effective collections strategies, identify opportunities for improvement, and work closely with cross-functional teams to resolve payment issues and support reporting processes.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the Order-to-Cash (O2C) operations, ensuring timely, accurate, and efficient execution of collections, AR, and billing processes
  • Oversight and support of a team of 4 AR professionals, fostering a collaborative and high-performing environment through coaching, feedback, and career development
  • Build strong relationships with merchants, clients, and internal teams to facilitate effective collections and resolve escalations, including billing discrepancies and intercompany transactions
  • Own the collections strategy, ensuring adherence to processes and identifying opportunities for improvement to achieve cash flow targets
  • Collaborate with Sales, IT, Finance, and FP&A teams to address larger account collections, resolve payment issues, and support reporting processes, including month-end AR packages and P&L impact
Requirements

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent understanding of how the order-to-cash process fits into the overall business and finance process
  • ~8+ years of experience as an Accounts Receivable Manager or Supervisor position
  • ~8+ years directly managing staff
  • ~Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Business or related discipline, or professional accounting qualifications (CPA, ACCA)
  • Experience with Netsuite would be a strong asset
  • Experience with the Microsoft Suite
  • Intermediate excel (pivot tables, vlookups)
