Job Summary

We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Financial Controller to join our team at SMBC Group. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the financial planning and analysis function, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, and developing and maintaining effective financial controls.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain financial models and forecasts to support business decision-making
  • Prepare and review financial reports, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements
  • Lead the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and implement process improvements
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls
Requirements
  • Post-secondary education in finance, accounting, or a related field
  • CPA/CA designation or equivalent
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in financial planning and analysis, with a focus on financial modeling and forecasting
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial concepts to non-financial stakeholders
  • Experience with financial planning and analysis software, including Excel and financial modeling tools
