Senior Manager, Training and Professional Standards Opportunity

Baker Tilly Canada Cooperative is seeking a dynamic Senior Manager, Training and Professional Standards to join our Assurance and Advisory Services team in Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.

This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned professional to lead our training and quality assurance initiatives, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and industry best practices. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for developing and implementing training programs, reviewing and updating policies and procedures, and collaborating with stakeholders to drive business growth and excellence.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement comprehensive training programs for staff, including onboarding, ongoing professional development, and technical skills training.
  • Review and update policies and procedures to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards.
  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver high-quality learning experiences that meet business needs and drive results.
  • Conduct regular file reviews and quality assurance checks to ensure compliance with firm policies and regulatory requirements.
  • Stay up-to-date with changes in accounting and auditing standards, legal regulations, and professional ethics.
Requirements:
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Canadian CPA, CA, or internationally trained accountant with primary experience in private enterprises.
  • Minimum 5 years post-qualification experience with technical skills for accounting, auditing, and financial statement disclosures.
  • Strong knowledge of training and development methodologies, adult learning principles, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, and project management skills.
