Job Summary

This role involves performing general cost accounting and budgeting activities for assigned operational groups. You'll handle various financial tasks within strict guidelines and collaborate with business leaders and managers to develop operational unit budgets across multiple companies.

  • Coordinate budget development, including historical cost analysis, projections, and variance reviews.
  • Prepare and present regular performance and variance reports, explaining variances and recommending remedial action.
  • Maintain current knowledge of applicable accounting systems, policies, and procedures.

You'll work closely with the operational group to advise on accounting and financial procedures, ensuring effective use of financial reports and activity-related information.

Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Diploma in Accounting or a related field from an accredited institution.
  • Three years of directly related experience.
  • Strong organizational, communication, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to work independently and in teams.
  • Knowledge of statistical analysis, cost benefit analysis, and related techniques.
