Job Description

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Installation Engineer to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing wayside CIVIL installation design and defining pathways along the track and within technical rooms.

  • Ensure that the project is compliant with the contract, system requirements, and local electrical regulations.
  • Design and instruct subcontractor designers to route cables within technical rooms from given wiring diagrams and along the track system, managing filling ratios and proposing new pathways.
  • Manage and resolve technical interfaces with civil partners and internal technology.
  • Apply quality procedures for the emission of documents at every stage of the design.
  • Interface with civil designers to ensure integrated Hitachi design can be implemented.
  • Identify critical issues in the development of the project, especially during interfaces, and propose mitigation actions.
  • Represent the Installation Engineering team and support design choices with all stakeholders.
  • Work in a BIM environment as part of the project delivery strategy, according to the BIM Execution Plan.
Requirements

The ideal candidate will have 5-10 years of experience in Civil Works in the Railway Engineering context, especially developed in the area of construction and installation design.

  • Interface with civil stakeholders to ensure installation design can be implemented and its needs are considered.
  • Ability to identify, understand, and overcome installation challenges when developing the design.
  • Design management of contractors and subcontractor activities: contract requirements and design processes-control.
  • Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities in a project and deadline-oriented environment.
Skills and Knowledge

The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and problem-solving skills, as well as proficiency in Revit, Aconex, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office.
