Job Title: Senior Installation Engineer

Belcan is seeking a highly skilled Senior Installation Engineer to join our team. As a key member of our engineering team, you will be responsible for ensuring that our projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and instruct subcontractor designers to route cables within technical rooms and along the track system, managing filling ratio, existing pathways, and proposing new pathways.
  • Manage and seek resolution of technical interfaces between engineering installation works and technological systems/subsystems.
  • Ensure the application of quality procedures for the emissions of documents at every stage of the design.
  • Interface with civil designers to ensure integrated design can be implemented.
  • Identify critical issues in project development, especially during interfaces, and propose mitigation actions.
  • Represent the Installation Engineering team and support design choices with all stakeholders.
  • Ability to work in a BIM environment as part of the project delivery strategy, according to the BIM Execution Plan.
  • Size pathways and raceways, considering subsystems' design.
  • Design management of contractors and sub-contractor activities: contract requirements and design processes-control.
Requirements:
  • Electrical Engineering University Degree or Equivalent Technical Background.
  • 5-10 years of experience in Electrical Works in the Railway Engineering context.
  • Experience in the area of construction and installation design.
  • Additional expertise in the railways context is considered a plus.
  • Previous experience in construction is a plus.
  • Solid experience in transit in context with managing wayside installation design and routing cables along the track and within technical rooms.
Operative Competencies:
  • Ability to identify, understand, and overcome installation challenges when developing the design.
  • Familiar with Requirement Traceability Matrix and Interface Registers tools.
  • Attention to detail and deadlines.
  • Self-motivated.
  • Ability to adapt well to change in direction and priorities.
  • Ability to work in a project and deadline-oriented environment.
  • Ability to stay organized and maintain project records.
  • Team player.
  • Must be able to proficiently use Revit, Aconex, Bluebeam, and Microsoft Office (Word/Excel).
  • Autodesk Revit or 3D software are a plus.
  • Written and verbal English communication skills.
