We invite highly skilled Registered Respiratory Therapists to join our team at North York General Hospital. As a key member of our interdisciplinary care team, you will play a vital role in promoting patient-centered care and providing expert respiratory therapy in our Respirology Unit.

Your Key Responsibilities

* Collaborate with a talented team of healthcare professionals to provide high-quality patient care in our Critical Care Unit, ED, Inpatient Units, Labour & Delivery, Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, and Operating Room
* Utilize your expertise in ventilation management, weaning, and discontinuation to optimize patient outcomes
* Participate in Code Teams and Critical Care Response Teams to ensure timely and effective response to critical situations
* Provide exceptional care to adult, paediatric, and newborn patients, including airway management, intubations, and tracheostomy tube insertions
* Administer pharmaceutical substances in respiratory care while ensuring patient safety and comfort
* Perform diagnostic tests, including arterial blood gases and bronchoscopies, to inform patient care decisions
* Supervise, teach, and evaluate students as assigned by clinical coordinator, promoting knowledge transfer and professional development
* Educate patients, families, caregivers, and healthcare professionals in respiratory care, empowering them with the knowledge to make informed decisions

Qualifications and Requirements

* Diploma/Degree in Respiratory Therapy from an accredited institution
* Registration with the College of Respiratory Therapists of Ontario
* Current Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) certification, required
* Current Advance Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification, required
* Current NRP certification, required
* Experience in adult intubation and adult radial arterial line insertion, preferred
* Membership with C.S.R.T. and R.T.S.O., preferred
* Experience in neonatal intubation, preferred
