About the Role

As a Senior Contracts Engineer, you will play a key role in developing and managing contracts for mining projects across North America. This involves working closely with clients, contractors, and project managers to ensure successful project execution. Your expertise in contract development, negotiation, and administration will be instrumental in driving project outcomes.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and manage contracts for mining projects, ensuring alignment with client requirements and project objectives.
  • Negotiate and administer contracts with contractors and vendors, ensuring timely delivery and compliance with project specifications.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to develop project implementation documentation and strategies.
  • Maintain accurate records of project costs, progress, and schedule reports, identifying areas for improvement and implementing corrective actions.
  • Provide input to weekly and monthly reports, highlighting project achievements and challenges.


Required Skills and Qualifications:

To succeed in this role, you will require:
  • A 4-year engineering degree or related technical degree/diploma.
  • 3+ years of field construction experience and management of contractors.
  • 6+ years of experience in the development, delivery, and/or operation of mining, mineral processing projects, or other major industrial capital projects.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated ability to think critically and provide innovative solutions to complex problems.
