About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team in the Pediatric Emergency Department. As a key member of our interprofessional team, you will provide comprehensive mental health assessments, interventions, and case management services to pediatric patients and their families.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct thorough mental health assessments to identify client and family needs, and develop individualized treatment plans.
  • Provide crisis intervention, counseling, and case management services to pediatric patients and their families.
  • Collaborate with emergency department staff, community mental health teams, and other service providers to ensure seamless care transitions and effective discharge planning.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with community agencies and service providers to enhance access to resources and services for pediatric patients and their families.
  • Participate in quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care and outcomes.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or a related field.
  • Two years of recent experience in child and adolescent mental health, including assessment, individual, family, and group interventions.
  • Eligibility for registration with a relevant professional association.
  • Valid BC Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle for work-related purposes.
