About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and compassionate Mental Health Clinician to join our team at Fraser Health Authority. As a key member of our interdisciplinary team, you will provide high-quality care to individuals and families affected by mental illness and substance use disorders.

Key Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement recovery-oriented treatment plans in collaboration with clients and their natural supports.
  • Provide individual, group, and family support using a variety of interviewing, supportive counseling, and assessment methods.
  • Assess client needs and provide comprehensive case consultation and follow-up support.
  • Collaborate with the interdisciplinary team to determine best approach to care and assess the need for emergent crisis intervention.
  • Facilitate client utilization of appropriate community services and rehabilitative programs.
  • Advocate on behalf of clients and provide information about appeal processes.
  • Make necessary arrangements for clients to be admitted to hospital when required.
  • Provide client care linkages between community mental health & substance use services and acute care facilities.
Requirements
  • Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Clinical Counselling, or other relevant health-related discipline.
  • Two (2) years' recent, related experience working with clients and families with, or affected by, mental illness and substance use disorders.
  • Eligible for registration or membership with applicable professional association or regulatory body.
  • Valid Class V BC Driver's License and access to personal vehicle for business-related purposes.
