Reliability Engineer for Complex Systems

At CN, we're seeking a seasoned Reliability Engineer to spearhead RAM analysis and engineering efforts in support of our rail industry solutions. This critical role demands expertise in ensuring high robustness, reliability, and availability.

The ideal candidate will bring 5-10 years of experience in RAM engineering for complex systems or 7 years in product development for high reliability/availability with accountability for product field performance.

This role involves system and product analysis, modeling, and requirements assessment as well as analysis of field RAM data to determine solution RAM KPIs and drive corrective action programs.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Reviewing and approving solution requirements for RAM
  • Determining non-functional requirements and targets for RAM performance
  • Performing analysis and modeling to predict RAM behavior
  • Assigning requirements to solutions and products to ensure they support the ability to measure RAM Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
  • Utilizing field performance measurement to identify key contributors and drive corrective action plans when necessary

You will collaborate closely with rail industry technical teams, industry organizations, and regulatory agencies, requiring excellent communication skills and the ability to represent CN's interests and influence direction across the industry.

This position requires a high degree of accountability and initiative with the ability to deliver with autonomy and organize work to support multiple projects in parallel.

We estimate this role to be compensated around $130,000 - $180,000 per annum, depending on your level of experience and qualifications.
