About Our Client

Michael Page is a leading recruitment agency that specializes in construction management placements.

We are working with a well-established Design Build and Construction Management company with offices in London, Ontario, and Kitchener. This organization focuses on food manufacturing projects.

Job Description
  • Oversight of the entire construction process to guarantee project completion in accordance with design, budget, and schedule requirements.
  • Responsibility for overall project performance and reporting in areas including but not limited to safety, cost/budget, schedule, quality, and project status.
  • Evaluation of the necessity for additional staff or consultants; coordination with department managers for the acquisition of required personnel from within and/or outside the organization.
  • Drafting and submission of budget proposals and recommendation of subsequent budget changes where necessary.
  • Monitoring of project performance, schedule, costs, equipment, manpower, materials, safety, and environment, as well as quality control.
  • Tracking of project milestones and deliverables.
  • Oversight of the project from pre-construction to closeout.

The Successful Applicant

  • At least 10 years of local Canadian construction experience as a Construction Project Manager completing various ICI projects.
  • Proven experience managing projects in the food processing or manufacturing sectors.
  • A minimum of two full cycles of ICI projects ranging from $15M-$50M.
  • Possession of a PMP or Gold Seal Certificate would be an asset.
  • Experience managing large contracts involving trades, consultants, and construction management firms.
  • Post-secondary diploma in a construction-related discipline.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Knowledge of different construction methods, sequencing, potential problems, and timelines.
  • Familiarity with relevant construction law and building codes.
Compensation Package

A competitive annual salary ranging from $130,000 to $170,000.
