Software Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team at Macdonald, Dettwiler And Associates Corporation. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of software engineers in the design, development, and delivery of complex software systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of software engineers in the development of embedded hard real-time software for mission-critical systems
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define and deliver software solutions that meet customer requirements
- Develop and implement software engineering processes and tools to improve efficiency and quality
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory rules and standards
- Manage software engineering resources, including recruitment, retention, and development of team members
- Minimum 8+ years of broad-based engineering experience in software development and management
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in managing or supervising engineering teams
- Strong technical skills in software engineering, including experience with embedded systems, real-time operating systems, and software development methodologies
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams
- Ability to obtain and hold security clearance at the reliability status level
