Software Engineering Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Software Engineering Manager to join our team at Macdonald, Dettwiler And Associates Corporation. As a key member of our engineering leadership team, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team of software engineers in the design, development, and delivery of complex software systems.
Key Responsibilities:- Lead a team of software engineers in the development of embedded hard real-time software for mission-critical systems
- Develop and implement software engineering processes and tools to ensure high-quality software delivery
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and prioritize software development projects
- Ensure compliance with applicable statutory and regulatory rules and standards
- Develop and manage software engineering budgets and resource allocation plans
- Minimum 8+ years of broad-based engineering experience in software development and management
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in managing or supervising engineering teams
- Strong leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and inspire a team of software engineers
- Experience with software lifecycle, software configuration management, and development processes such as MIL-STD-498/IEEE 12207, ECSS, DO-178 B/C, IEC
- Strong technical skills in software development, with experience in languages such as C, C++, Java, and Matlab/Simulink
