Job Summary

The Accounts Payable Lead is responsible for the timely and accurate processing of payments to suppliers for goods and services acquired by Shared Health. This role involves creating and maintaining vendor master information, providing information about payables and payments for reporting purposes, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage the accounts payable process, ensuring timely and accurate payment to suppliers.
  • Create and maintain vendor master information, including contact details and payment terms.
  • Provide information about payables and payments for reporting purposes, including financial analysis and budgeting.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, including accounting standards and government requirements.
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless financial operations.
Requirements
  • Minimum 3 years experience in a computerized accounting environment, preferably in an accounts payable healthcare environment.
  • Completion of high school education, Manitoba standards required.
  • Completion of Business/Accounting diploma from a recognized business college within the last 8 years required.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and Outlook) required.
  • Knowledge of General Accounting concepts and account coding required.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills required.
Working Conditions

This role is based in Winnipeg and requires the ability to work independently and in a team environment. The successful candidate will be required to undergo a satisfactory Criminal Records Check (including Vulnerable Sector Search), Child Abuse Registry Check, and Adult Abuse Registry Check as conditions of employment.
