We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Practical Nurse to join our team at Shannex Enhanced Care in Bridgewater, Nova Scotia.
As a LPN, you will be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, evaluating, documenting, and directing resident needs through consultation with medical professionals, care conferences, and internal staff.
You will also provide leadership to health services staff and oversee the provision of quality health services, respecting the client's right to individualized planning of health services.
Additional responsibilities include administering and recording prescribed medication, maintaining accurate and complete documentation and reporting, and applying dressings and treatments according to physician's orders and policy.
About YouWe are looking for a candidate who is passionate about the healthcare sector and ensuring seniors have access to quality accommodations, services, and care.
You will bring:
- Registration with the provincial Practical Nursing regulatory body
- Ability to work a schedule of flexible hours and shifts inclusive of days, nights, weekends, and holidays
- Valid CPR & First Aid Certification preferred
- A clear criminal record with vulnerable sector screening
- Previous working experience with elderly in long-term care or a senior living environment an asset
