Saskatchewan Polytechnic seeks a visionary leader to serve as Vice Provost for Academic Services. This key role will provide strategic direction and oversight for the Academic Services units, ensuring alignment with the institution's overall strategic goals.

Key Responsibilities
  • Academic Program Leadership
    • Develop and implement academic program excellence strategies, fostering a culture of innovation and excellence.
    • Ensure effective coordination and development of academic programs, aligning with institutional vision and values.
    • Provide leadership for quality assessment and review, ensuring academic programs meet national accrediting standards.
  • Institutional Planning
    • Support the development of Saskatchewan Polytechnic's Multi Year Business Plan (MYBP) for program areas, ensuring plans are current with emerging trends in the future of work and learning.
    • Contribute to the corporate decision-making process, participating as an ex-officio member of Senior Leadership Council (SLC) and member of the Senior Leadership Team (SLT).
  • Relationship Management
    • Foster positive working relationships among Academic and Administrative Services units, ensuring high-quality and consistent services.
    • Collaborate with Deans, Associate Vice Presidents, and Special Advisor to ensure integrated services meet institutional direction.
    • Represent Saskatchewan Polytechnic on national, provincial, and regional academic committees, developing relationships and partnerships with other institutions.
  • People Management
    • Ensure a positive, diverse, and inclusive work and learning environment, proactively recruiting and retaining outstanding senior leaders and staff.
    • Coach and mentor direct reports, holding academic leaders accountable for outcomes and performance.
  • Resource Allocation
    • Ensure resource allocation for academic programs aligns with organizational planning processes, developing innovative solutions to resource challenges.
    • Maximize revenue generation, where appropriate, and provide leadership around capital and facility initiatives.
