Join Our Team as a Diesel Service Technician

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Diesel Service Technician to join our team at Bayview Trucks - Fredericton. As a key member of our service department, you will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of medium and heavy-duty trucks and trailers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Diagnose and repair complex issues with engines, power trains, electrical systems, steering systems, electronics, brake systems, and suspension systems.
  • Perform preventive maintenance services, including inspections and repairs.
  • Identify and document warrantable repairs.
  • Conduct road tests to diagnose malfunctions and verify repair resolutions.
  • Complete technical reports in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Work rotational shifts, including evenings and Saturdays, and be available for after-hours service calls.
  • Collaborate with a team environment and maintain a professional demeanor.
  • Adhere to company policies and procedures.
Requirements:
  • Completion of a College certification for Truck & Transport or Heavy Equipment Service Technician (minimum Block 3 completion).
  • Ability to lift and move up to 50 lbs (or in accordance with provincial workplace health & safety standards).
  • Willingness to continue training to obtain and maintain licenses.
  • Clean Driver's abstract and Criminal Reference check.
  • Basic computer skills with the ability to work in Windows-based software.
  • Minimum 4 years of experience in a service environment.
