Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled Lead Kitchen Operations Manager to oversee the daily operations of our kitchen at ONTARIO INC. The successful candidate will be responsible for coordinating special events, requisitioning food and kitchen supplies, preparing complete meals or individual dishes and foods, and training staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food.

Responsibilities
  • Cooking and Food Preparation: Prepare and cook complete meals or individual dishes and foods, including special meals for patients with dietary restrictions.
  • Kitchen Management: Requisition food and kitchen supplies, maintain inventory and records of food, supplies, and equipment, and supervise kitchen staff and helpers.
  • Training and Development: Train staff in preparation, cooking, and handling of food, and ensure that all staff members adhere to high standards of cleanliness and hygiene.
  • Event Coordination: Coordinate special events, such as buffets and banquets, and manage kitchen operations to ensure smooth execution.
  • Security and Safety: Maintain basic security clearance and adhere to health and safety regulations.
Requirements
  • Education: No degree, certificate, or diploma is required.
  • Experience: Will train.
  • Language: English is the primary language of communication.
  • Work Environment: Fast-paced environment with physically demanding tasks, standing for extended periods, and repetitive tasks.
  • Personal Qualities: Dependability, flexibility, initiative, judgment, organized, reliability, and teamwork skills are essential.
Benefits
