Job Summary

We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Technical Sales Representative to join our team. As a Technical Sales Representative, you will be responsible for developing and maintaining relationships with key customers and stakeholders in the South Western Ontario territory.

Key Responsibilities

  • Meet or exceed assigned revenue, margin, and product mix objectives within the corporate business framework.
  • Secure, develop, and manage key accounts, including architects, designers, general contractors, distributors, subcontractors, and end-user accounts.
  • Manage all related performance and service metrics for assigned accounts.
  • Develop and deliver strategic business and territory plans for each customer, including monthly forecasts.
  • Follow the standard sales process to identify prospects and decision makers, gain customer commitment, predict sales probability, and close deals.
  • Manage day-to-day contact with customers, exchange information succinctly, and address issues directly and tactfully.
  • Develop and deliver technical, high-quality digital collateral, product prospectus, presentations, and business correspondence in support of the sales process.
  • Collaborate with senior staff to coordinate and execute product knowledge training sessions with internal and external customers.
  • Leverage all available technology for productivity and effective lead generation, account maintenance, sales and expense tracking, forecasting, account reviews, customer contact, presentations, etc.
  • Work collaboratively with internal support resources to develop teamwork through cooperation, trust, and mutual respect.
  • Attend and present business unit products and services at industry conventions and trade shows.
  • Maintain extensive product knowledge in all product lines and service offerings.
  • Adhere to and enforce all company policies, pricing, and operational procedures with special attention to the professional image of the company.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Sales, Construction Management, or related field, and 2-3 years of construction or industry experience, or
  • Minimum High School Diploma or GED with 5 years of construction or industry experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Two to four years of related experience and/or training.
  • Construction knowledge, including waterproofing, air barriers, modular, facades, etc.
  • Glazing experience a plus.
  • OEM construction product sales experience a plus.
  • Basic knowledge of product chemistries.

What We Offer

Tremco CPG Inc. offers a competitive salary range of $82,000 to $105,000, plus incentive compensation, and a variety of benefits, including extended health and dental insurance, paid company holidays, paid time off, group retirement savings program, defined benefit pension plan, performance-based bonus eligibility, health and fitness subsidy, and access to company employee assistance programs.
