About the Role

Groupe DSD Inc is seeking a skilled Injection Molding Set-up Operator to join our team. As a key member of our manufacturing department, you will be responsible for setting up and operating injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic products.

Key Responsibilities
  • Troubleshoot and Maintain Equipment: Identify and resolve issues with injection molding machines to minimize downtime and ensure optimal production.
  • Material Handling and Preparation: Weigh and prepare resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae to produce high-quality plastic products.
  • Quality Control: Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to ensure it meets our high standards.
  • Machine Operation: Set up and operate injection molding machines, calender machines, and extruding machines to produce a variety of plastic products.
  • Tooling and Maintenance: Prepare and change molds, adjust equipment, and perform routine maintenance tasks to ensure optimal machine performance.
  • Record Keeping: Maintain accurate records of production, quality control, and maintenance activities.
Requirements
  • Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent.
  • Experience: 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in a related field or equivalent experience.
  • Language: English or French.
  • Work Conditions: Physically demanding, repetitive tasks, attention to detail, manual dexterity, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Personal Qualities: Accurate, dependable, excellent oral communication, organized, reliability, and team player.
