Injection Molding Technician

Groupe DSD Inc is seeking a skilled Injection Molding Set-up Operator to join our team.
Job SummaryWe are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to set up and operate injection molding machines to produce high-quality plastic products. The successful candidate will have a strong background in plastics processing and experience with injection molding equipment.
Key Responsibilities- Troubleshoot and make minor adjustments to equipment to ensure optimal performance
- Weigh resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae to produce high-quality plastic compounds
- Monitor and inspect the quality of material produced to ensure it meets our high standards
- Operate mixing machines to blend plastic and other chemicals to a specific consistency and viscosity
- Unload mixture into containers or conveyors for further processing
- Set up and operate calender machines to transform plastic bales or slabs into continuous sheets or films of specified thickness
- Adjust calender rollers for production line changes
- Set up and operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compounds through nozzles or dies
- Change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes
- Set up and operate molding machines to mold plastic products
- Prepare and change molds and adjust equipment for production line changes
- Follow formulation cards to mix resin batches for injection molding processes
- Trim and sand plastic or fiberglass parts
- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- 2 years to less than 3 years of experience in plastics processing or a related field
- Equivalent experience may be considered
- Willingness to relocate
- Own transportation
- Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, and gloves
- Excellent oral communication skills
- Dependability, accuracy, and reliability
- Ability to work in a team environment
