Job Title: Injection Moulding Set-up Operator

Groupe DSD Inc is seeking a skilled Injection Moulding Set-up Operator to join our team.

Job Summary:

We are looking for a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to operate and maintain our injection moulding equipment. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating moulding machines, troubleshooting equipment issues, and ensuring the quality of the final product.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Set up and operate moulding machines to produce high-quality plastic products
  • Troubleshoot and resolve equipment issues to minimize downtime
  • Weigh and mix resins, colorants, and other chemicals according to formulae
  • Monitor and inspect the quality of the final product
  • Adjust equipment settings and calender rollers for production line changes
  • Operate extruding machines to extrude plastic compound through a nozzle or die
  • Change dies on extruding machines according to production line changes
  • Prepare and change moulds and adjust equipment for production line changes
  • Follow formulation cards to mix resin batches for injection moulding process
  • Trim and sand plastic or fiberglass parts
Requirements:
  • 2 years of experience in a manufacturing or production environment
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet production deadlines
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to lift heavy loads and work in a physically demanding environment
  • Steel-toed safety boots, safety glasses/goggles, ear plugs, and gloves are required
Working Conditions:
  • Repetitive tasks and attention to detail are required
  • Combination of sitting, standing, and walking is necessary
  • Physically demanding environment with standing for extended periods

English or French
