Job Title: Manager Audit Services, SOx

At Emera, we are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Manager Audit Services, SOx to join our Audit Services team. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for providing oversight of the entire SOX process, from planning to remediation efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Maintain relationships with affiliate employees and stay informed on risks and strategic initiatives impacting applicable affiliates.
  • Provide oversight of the entire SOX process, including planning, scoping, designing controls, and assistance with deficiency remediation efforts as needed.
  • Supervise and mentor team members to ensure quality standards are achieved.
  • Support and create SOX documentation, including narratives, flow charts, control descriptions, and control testing.
  • Seek to continuously improve the SOX program to become more efficient and effective through optimization and automation.
  • Establish good relationships and become a trusted resource for business partners to drive maintenance of control and process documentation.
  • Manage audit resources to complete SOX documentation and testing for various business processes.
  • Administer audit software and maintain control testing documentation.
  • Help foster a culture of continuous improvement mind-set.
Requirements:
  • Excellent interpersonal and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to build consensus across an organization by consistently demonstrating credibility as a subject matter expert.
  • Undergraduate degree with a concentration in Accounting, business, engineering, technology, or related discipline.
  • Certifications demonstrating a breadth of knowledge over internal audit, business, or technology.
  • Minimum of 6 years of direct or related work experience.
  • Ability to analyze ambiguous information and support conclusions.
