Job Overview

Aramark Canada is seeking a highly organized and motivated individual to join the Dalhousie Food Services team as a Residential Dining Supervisor. This role is responsible for coordinating and overseeing the day-to-day activities of the component, including the supervision of the front-line team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage labor costs by supervising daily staffing levels and driving efficiency from all staff.
  • Control production costs, supply costs, and inventory by adhering to all standards of operation.
  • Audit service and quality on a regular basis to ensure high standards are met.
  • Develop and implement strategies to achieve customer satisfaction goals.
  • Supervise teamwork and service on a regular basis to ensure a positive customer experience.
  • Address employee issues in a professional manner while adhering to all Aramark policies and procedures.
  • Support and implement training programs to develop skills and improve morale.
  • Assist in annual employee reviews and supervise interim performance issues.
  • Ensure all employees are trained according to company standards for safety, health, and sanitation procedures.
Requirements
  • Diploma or degree in Culinary Management, Hospitality, Nutrition, or a related field.
  • 1-2 years' experience in the food service industry as a Supervisor.
  • Excellent communication and prioritization skills.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required.
