Our firm provides comprehensive financial advisory, accounting, assurance, tax, and business advisory services to clients across various industries and sectors.
We are currently seeking highly skilled accountants and bookkeepers to join our team on a full-time basis in Hearst, Ontario. As a valued member of our team, you will have the opportunity to work collaboratively with experienced professionals, contributing to the success of our clients and the growth of our firm.
Key Responsibilities:- Assist in the preparation of accurate and timely financial statements for clients, adhering to established Firm standards and procedures.
- Analyze client accounting and financial records to ensure compliance with accounting standards, procedures, and internal controls.
- Prepare complex tax returns, including T1, T2s, T3s, T4s, T5s, GST/HST filings, and other related documents.
- Participate in special projects assigned by senior staff, demonstrating initiative and a commitment to excellence.
- Provide expert bookkeeping services from client-supplied records, ensuring accuracy and attention to detail.
- Prepare payroll and related filings, as well as HST returns, with precision and efficiency.
- Offer exceptional support and guidance to clients on bookkeeping and software-related issues.
- Identify opportunities to upsell or cross-sell products and services, driving business growth and revenue.
- Foster meaningful relationships with clients, providing personalized service and expertise.
- A college or university degree in accounting, or relevant experience in accounting or bookkeeping.
- Working knowledge of business software applications, including Word, Excel, Sage, QuickBooks, and tax/payroll software.
- Previous experience with Profile and Caseware would be an asset.
- Sound knowledge of Canadian Accounting Standards, income tax, payroll tax, and HST regulations.
- Ability to work under pressure, meeting deadlines and delivering high-quality results.
- Strong work ethic, with the ability to work independently and as part of a team environment.
- Attention to detail and accuracy, with sound judgment regarding confidential matters.
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills.
- Fluently bilingual in both French and English would be an asset.
- Highly motivated, self-starter with demonstrated independence and initiative.
