Food Service Team Lead

Job Summary: We are seeking a highly organized and detail-oriented Food Service Supervisor to join our team at Lucky's Motel, Restaurant & Lounge. As a key member of our food service team, you will be responsible for ensuring the smooth operation of our kitchen and dining areas.
Key Responsibilities:
- Establish and manage work schedules to meet the needs of our restaurant
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of kitchen staff, including food preparation and portioning
- Requisition food and kitchen supplies to maintain high standards of quality and cleanliness
- Address customer complaints and concerns in a professional and courteous manner
- Prepare and submit reports to management on a regular basis
- Provide diversity and cross-cultural training to create a welcoming work environment for newcomers and refugees
- Provide cultural competency training to create a welcoming work environment for Indigenous workers
Requirements:
- College diploma or equivalent in a related field
- 1-6 months of experience in a food service supervisory role
- Excellent communication and leadership skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Work Environment:
- 30-40 hours per week
- Permanent position
- English language required
